We are DONE for the season!!!!!!!!!

So we went to Panama City Beach to UCA Nationals held on the beach at the Edgewater Resort this past weekend....not a bad way to finish off a season of cheer considering they actually put the stage up on the beach and you get to sit out in the sand with your cooler and watch cheering all day. However, I have found that the mojito is now my new favorite drink! The girls finished off their season with yet another FIRST PLACE WIN!!! GO UBP!!!

My sister, Mother and nephews went down with us and all had a great time! Brodie and Blayd are so funny to watch! They do the funniest things these days!!!

International All-Level Championships

This weekend we went to Atlanta for the International All-Level Championships which our girls got a bid to...see a prior post about this....and they came in 2nd!!! Now they will be judged by an international panel against tons of other squads (the top 3 in each category were submitted) and the results from that will come out in early May, the 5th, I believe. I will keep you posted and keep your fingers crossed! Congrats, girls, you did a great job!!!!!

Crazy folks GO AWAY!!!!

Ok, so seriously, are the planets in some sort of cosmic alignment that I am not aware of right now because this week has been one of the strangest weeks EVA!!! I am telling you what, the Gods are laughing their asses off at us and having a good ole time whilst almost every single phone call, e-mail, meeting or any sort of interaction with clients ended with a strange look and the phrase "WTF" either leaving my mouth or going through my mind!!! I have seriously considered offing myself with my staple puller no less that three times this week!!!
People have called non-stop for 5 days now, all thinking they are our only clients; ummm, no, sir, in fact we have hundreds of clients and you are NOT the only person that thinks they need something RIGHT NOW!!! Ashley Upstairs (the other partner's secretary...I call her Ashley Upstairs b/c she is named Ashley and is in fact upstairs) even had a woman call in and want us to "take legal action" against some chic for "trying to turn her daughter gay"....ummm, sure thing, lady, we're right on top of that....Excuse, me, Judge, yes, well you see the fact of the matter is that this girl is trying to turn this woman's daughter into a lesbo....needless to say this is NOT a new case we opted to pick up. Have even had some Russian guy come in, drop off a letter and then give me a full bow before turning and exiting the premises...I mean really now, what do you do with that??? Bow back, say thanks...throw up a peace sign....
Even as I am attempting to type this I just had to pick up the phone and speak with a woman that I guarandamntee you I have spoken to at the very least 15 times this week....and no, she does not need anything that is of the caliber or urgency that would warrant even 15 phone calls in one month...every time I see her number pop up on the caller i.d. I just want to run away!!!
If next week starts out the same way....I am relocating to Costa Rica....I'll open up a "satellite office" there!!!! :)

King Tut

(Peyton & Brianna in pharoh hats)

So we went to see the King Tut Exhibit...and yes, it was AWESOME!!! It is really neat to think of how those folks were able to make all of those intricate things with the basic tools they had. Needless to say, I was in awe of everything I looked at!

One Month Check-Up

Okay, so I am a tad bit late making this post but anyway, I went for my one month check-up post Lasik last Monday, March 16th. If you know me then you know I tend to be just a tad bit on the neurotic side about some things and my eyes and anything to do with them are one of those things! Naturally I am all nervous because I know it will be JUST MY LUCK that I get in there and they are like "oops...sorry, Miss Nason but somehow we managed to slice through your "insert technical eye vocab word here" and now your "insert another" is not functioning properly. Well, Christie, my wonderful cousin who works there, was administering all the proper tests on me and then we get to the chart. I don't know about you but every time they say "Cover your right eye and read down as small as you can" I immediately start to sweat, get a little shaky and feel as if I am taking the SAT or something!!! So now I am thinking to myself "dear sweet Lord, what if I can't even read the second row down... I will be blind forever and have to learn braille and I am too old to be learning something like that, I assume it's like picking up a foreign language and I am way too old to be learning Spanish too" (I know, I know, yes, I actually do have these conversations with myself in my head...I told you I was a tad bit on the neurotic side) Well, come to find out I was most impressively able to check out reading with 20/15 vision which, my friends, is better than 20/20 so now I have super girl bionic vision....okay not really but it is more than perfect!!! So, I managed to survive it all and luckily do not have to pick up braille!!!

Peyton's team, the Balled Pythons placed FIRST in their division, Small Youth Level 3!!!! It's about time too, we have been to this competition for 5 years now and they have never managed to get those National Champ Jackets until this time!!! Good job girls and congrats!!!!

WTF????

All I want to know is why in the world is the arrival, breed and name of the new First Dog a news headline to begin with and why is is listed ABOVE a headline about 667 thousand new jobless claims filed??? The news is so ridiculous these days...umm hello, we are in an enormous financial crisis at the moment, still at war and have those crazies half way around the world playing with nukes and I mean really...who gives a frogs fat ass about the First Dog, whether or not Jessica Simpson has gained weight and if Lindsey Lohan is really gay?????

Priorities, people, priorities.

Okay, I am done ranting for the day!

Python Performance Night

If you can you should try to come to the Python Performance Night for Family & Friends who are not able to travel to competitions. The girls do their routines and it is a lot of fun for them. Each team from the minis to the senior teams and even our special needs team do their routines one last time before we head to Orlando for the Disney World Competition. It is fun to watch and if you are not involved in the competitive cheerleading world it is totally different from sideline cheering at a football game. Come on out, it will be worth the watch!!!
(It normally only lasts about an hour)

Cirque Du Soleil

The weekend of Peyton's last competition we managed to work in Cirque Du Soliel's presentation of KOOZA. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!! I have never ever seen anything like it before in my life and people just should not be able to contort themselves into the positions they do....it's just not natural, it's like they have jell-o for bones of something.

If you ever get a chance to go see any performance of Cirque I HIGHLY recommend it! It IS pricey, but well worth it. We all enjoyed it immensely!!!
